Hello there

I have recently bought civ 4 and it installed fine and i started a new game. Everything around the outside of the screen is fine but the world has gone wrong. i can see cities, units, rivers and forests fine but the grassland and sea is just black and everything is really dark.

Can anyone help? thnx

You would be better asking this in the technical support forum, but the first thing to check is have you installed the patch? Patch 1.52 (either patch in game or look in the tech support forum for links) solves many of the problems with black terrain.
