Welcome to the Half Full Club. After my faultering last two attempts ( Both of which ended in disaster. The club is doing well). Now I believe I've perfect the formula, so here goes :king:.

Round 1 - The Queen Awakes.
Round 2 - Growth and the Happiness Cap.
Round 3 - The Wooing of the Old People.
Round 4 - :crazyeye:
Round 5 - :shifty:
Round 6 - An Acopaliptic Revenge!
Round 7 - Victory!

For our leader this time, It's the Rexing Boozist, Catherine of The Vikings!

She just loves that flag!
Creative-+2 Culture every turn for every city in your possesion. Very nice for REX'ing. Also cheaper Tempels and Liabrarys'.
Imperialistic-1/2 price on settlers. This is why Cathy is the REX'ing Queen:king:. Also 100% on Great General emergance. The Great Wall combo's well with this.

The UU!

As Vikings are Amphibious in History, this is very nice. In Gameplay, not so much.

The UB!

Like the UU, this emphesises Navy's/Amphibious assults in an age that doesn't appreciate it :).

The Start!

I coulud definetly use some advice on where to go from here, please :).

The RULES!:
1) We cannot build more than 5 settlers. This means we cannot build more than 5 city's ourself. You can, however, capture citys to your hearts content without breaking this rule.
2) You must befriend all of the MALE LEADERS (you must accept ALL demands from them. You may NOT declare war against them. If they declare on YOU, however, then you are free to count them as FEMALE until, a) they're dead or, b) you have declared peace),all the other FEMALE one's are a threat to your supremacy and must be eliminated by the end of the game. 'Elimination' includes Destroying and/or Capitilising (Vassel). IF A FEMALE LEADER IS VASSILISED TO A MALE, WE DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE THE FEMALE LEADERS DEMANDS. HOWEVER, WE CANNOT DECLARE WAR, AS THAT WOULD DEFILE RULE 2. AS SHE IS DOMINATED BY A MALE LEADER, OF WHOM YOU ARE TRING TO WOO, YOU DO NOT NEED TO KILL HER UNLESS SHE FREE'S HERSELF FROM VASSILIZATION! IF THE LEADER IS VASSELISED, RULE 3 COUNTS FOR HER. Thank you Cam H!
3) You must unite all the MALE leaders under one religion by the end of the game. This rule does not apply if they are in Free Religion. Espoinage is reccomended ;).

The save is at the Bottom.

"When should I post?" I hear you ask, well here is how;
1) Beggining post (Capital settling)
2-???) The Middle,
End) Victory or Defeat. Don't be afraid of posting a loss, I usually do :king:.
Take your time, I know I will ;).

About the save:
The save is a WB save. To play, simply download it. Then, after downloading, un-zip the file. You then click on that said save, and Civ IV should then start. Once started, you can choose only one civ (Thank you TMIT for explaining that on you-tube), our lovley lady. Then you can choose the Difficulty/Speed.
If you play on Noble: (Like this game is set at) you don't need to alter anything!
If you play on Monarch: Add Archery to all the civs and Barbs (?).
If you play on Immortal: Add Archery and Hunting to all the civs and Barbs (?).
If you play on Diety: Add Archery, Hunting and Agriculture to all the civs and Barbs (?).

Remember, patience...discipline.

I'm planning on moving the scout 1SW. Then I will move 1SW, if the new area seems more optimum than the original. Good, bad, worst idea since Mr.Hitler said "Komm Van Hilder, I'm feeling a little saucy tonight"?

Round One - The Queen Awakes

Queen Catherine awakes from her usuall rounds as a hand-maiden of a local tribe to discover something. She discovered a gun. After much thought, and a little experimenting, she soon proclaimed her-self as Queen of the Tribe.

The Queen sends her scout 1SW and the reports are thus...

After finding that Green is Better, she moves her 'subjects' 1SW also. There she settles the city of Moscow!

Unfortunetly she remembered that she killed the last scholar of the tribe. After many attempts of naming the city Numumumum, Nomomomom and Namamamama they finaly came up with the city Nidaros! Catherine immediatly upgrades her Gun to a Semi-Automatic Portable Machine-gun.

She then gets a visit from her Cousins, Sons, Father. She remembered naming him scrotem head. After due consideration (and also being the only male in the area with more than a 5 word vocabulary) she becomes aroused by his charm. She begins to Flatter the Spanish King, Hyuna Cappac...

After Catherine finishes her target shoting on the last Royal Garderner of Nidaros, a young scientist attempts to stop this murderous practises. He brings home a sheep, and proclaimes to Catherine that art of Animal Shooting...

Soon after, the people of Nidaros came up with a revolutionary idea to bury all the Sheeps' corpses that where stopping the Post-Man from his daily rounds...

This process was effective, however the Queen soon began to use an RPG launcher. The people then invented a square to help with movement. Then, after catherine hit a square with a Semi-Automatic Pistol, they discovered a Wheel. The city and the Queen where most happy...

The queens relations to the Spanish Lord where not growing, yet they where not shrinking either. The Queen instead, forgets the petty man (for now) and searches for new Shooting Ranges...

The Queen finishes here duites and retire for the Milenium.

Thoughts: Moving was definetly worth it.
We can worry about Hyuna Later, as he is down below in a blockable area...

To do:
1) Expand more. We have lots of cottagable Flood Plains and Farmable ones' aswell.
2) Woo Hyuna. This will involve getting Writing --> Alphabet, so expansion should come first.
3) Find another target for the Queens' shooting needs.

The save...

Spoiler :

To 1000BC
I actually do not like FP as main food source in capitol, so i moved units a bit
Spoiler :

I actually settled on sheep, nice place except chronic lack of hammers. Well, that means i will need to whip capitol, not as bad for IMP girl anyway.

Tech path went Agri>Wheel>Pottery>Mining>Masonry>BW>Writing>IW started Aesthetics.

Well, scout found Huyana of Spain early on and espionage told there is something beyound him. I met that persons workboat bit later

Spoiler :

Meanwhile some opned space forced me to this:
Spoiler :

Rather late but world does not seem to be very wonder happy.

Except HC who got stonehenge, good for him, but meanwhile being able to cheat on escort I
Spoiler :

Well, double gems was reason i went for IW. Normally i would go for Alphabet but i had some doubts if WB really got proper Immortal going... Or maybe that level is as easy as i remember:).

At any rate two gems will pay for this distraction easily.

I used my second city to make Pyramids since there was some pressure on hapiness.

Spoiler :

Stopped short afterwards. Overview of land:
Spoiler :

Still hammer hungry and recovering from whipping:(

planned found later, but did not managed to get axe to defend early enough so had to plop a city.

I want one more city 1E of pig. that one should be production center.

Overall, i already have shared religion with Zara and HC, both of these are nice guys. If i can't get them declare on me... Most likely i will have enough land just to tech away.

Hopefully there is someone like Shaka of khmers nearby to wreck my plans or this will be very and very boring....

Round 2 - Growth and the Happiness Cap.

The Queen awakes from here slumber. Soon she realises she has an empire to conquer, thus setting her empire to work. (Tech path went Mining/BW/Archery/Masonry/IW/Writing/Alphabet/Currency).

As the Queen sun-bathes outside Nidaros. But then, disaster! She finds out that it's full of a DISGUSTING metal! She names it Copper, after her 21st Husband...

She sets Nidaros up with a nice new Barracks, and starts pumping out some Copper Axeman. The Queen then meets an exotic neighbor, a Zara Yaqob of Russia...

We then settle 2 new Citys. The Queen is pleased, as she can now have different scenery for here Shooting Needs...

We then Open Borders with both of our "Fuzzy Pets".
Then the Queen settles a new city, beside a nice depot of Iron and expects to make it production heavey for her "persuasion" needs...

The Queen finds a Great Scientist and builds an Academie in Nidaros, in honor of herself :king:...

I ended to Round there as:
1) We finished Currency. Now where teching CoL :).
2) Where getting ready to REX the continent!

The Tech Situation...

The Diplomacy Screen...

The Civic Screen...

I think I'm doing rather well, we haven't seen any Female Oppressors yet, so Rule 2 is being nerfed a bit :). Other than that, I'm hoping Hyuna doesn't have any crazey demands. Also, my Citys are reaching the Happey Caps.

^^ Catherine is Creative and Imperialistic.
I let the RNG choose the Civilization, but I chose the leader ;).
Hope that clears things up.

Spoiler :

600BC i got my first person--- Great sPy settled him
470BC--Alphabet just to learn why had nothing:(... I think i even managed to get sailing for IW from HC.
275BC Cathy picks some money from her muisuline firends... like 300 gold total enough to finance full research for ten turns...
200BC-Parthenon in gem city... I think the only wonder i tried for real and missed was Ankor Wat, cause Zara asked for Philo and i surely gave it...
Colossus went something like 600AD...

185BC unlocked HE [like i ver needed it].
95BC-- GE in mid city i spent some time and settled in cap.
20BC- Grat library in capitol soon followed by NE.
25AD start workin on barb city

I missed 5 settler rule... Well, ended deleting on settler and making 6 cities [one original+5settlers i produced -- let say this is immortal discount].
With barb city i should have enough for national wonder anyway. Pitty since there was space for 2-3 more good cities
100AD- academy in cap
I do not plan to bulb cause they will beg for mine techs anyway, i rather build up strong settled spec economy.
145AD-CS... Rather late probably tried to trade fo CoL
205AD Zara cames with idea i should CS for Theology... Oh, well, why not...
295AD self tech Philosophy for religion in case that matters
385AD Music preserve GA for golden age as soon as i finish MoM.
400AD--get barb city

445AD- Hagiua Sophia mainly for GE points as i have so little cities anyway.
580AD - Mausoleum is done can start golden age, i tech nationalism fast to head early start on taj.
640AD- Nationalism
870AD-- hit coloseeum quest. Will finish it unluckily Colossus went to Zara,

950AD build UoS, already in second golden age, whip universities to start on Oxford.

1080AD I end teching constitution believeing i want Democracy from lib, later i changed mind and tried to get Communism but ended being pressed bt Zara to Lib and took Demo... 2 useless techs [Constitution and Democracy]

1150AD-- Notre Dame... Really have not hoped for this one...
1200AD-- Lib into Demo. Could have taken at least SM, stupid me. Start Libert statue, which at least let me hire some spies in end.
1225AD finished coloseum quest, took hapiness
1260AD--- bored with local males i finally sent galleon packed with hindu misionairies to search for more intiligenbt rulers... [had zero interest to do that before]. Would you believe. Cathy is the only girl in world...

1285 sign defensive pact with Zara [later signed with HC too].

1300AD view at capitol post communism and after plowing some cottages still making 500 beakers per turn.
Used Gspy for Scotland yard

Sameyear Upsala

I do some calculation and start gifting techs for barbarian males... Next turn i get Pericles map and manage open borders to JC...
1305AD bribe Jc out of Nappy as i don't want do deal with vassal crap. All civs have hindu by now. [unbelievable they all were budhist, all othe religions went to our continent]

1310AD i finally edge Zara in pop for this:

1315AD i loose my gold reserve:( gifted them all to Lib, clearly will need to gift towards reperesentation to earn easy diplo points.

1325AD switch Pericles to Free religion...
Due to my bad plannnig and male idiots doing civic changes in worst time possible this still will take a while.
1385AD--- statue of liberty, mostly useless as all i need is spies and galleons. Shut out research and focussing on espionage.
1420AD --- do lot of calculations due to ramses spreading hindu like crazy --convert world to free religion

like this

1430AD HC manages to revolt gem city, despite it having Pathenon [doubled] and Hermitage....

I us some bribing like and use spies for most stuborn guys [sorry missing one hell of pictures for turnset:(]
1450AD --learn this does not work:( Apparently if you go out of religion and do not own AP vote changes to chair vote and does not change back as you return.
Clearly i will need to keep them out of stupid religions for whole turnset between votes...
1465AD -- switch Ramses into hindu... which force me to farm all over all place to get enough votes.... Luckily be dear friend Zara converts back to hindu and at 1520Ad vote for victory pops up as i edge just enough votes....

Damn, cheesing out was never so hard.

Two things;

1) We cannot build more than 5 settlers. This means we cannot build more than 5 city's ourself. You can, however, capture citys to your hearts content without breaking this rule.

We start with a free Settler ... our first Settler built will found our second city. So we can build five Settlers and found six cities I presume.

If a male leader vassalises a female leader's tribe on another continent, it's effectively 'game over' unless we taunt the male leader to declare war on us? Or do you mean that the female leader must be a vassal of any male leader or a vassal of Catherine?

@ Cam H.
That is correct. You should have 6 citys in total max for your own settlers.

If a 'female' vassilises to a male, the female is baisicly beatun until she is free. This means that she is counted as vermin (and thus we do not have to accept demands etc.) but does not need to be wiped off the board, as she is being dominated by a male leader, of whom we are trying to woo.

Thanks for this, I shall fix the rules now. :goodjob:

Played a fairly late victory on Immortal;

Spoiler :
At least 40 turns delay due to the religious variant:

I simply could not get the tribes to give up their different religions simultaneously, and my cunning United Nations plan failed repetedly with usually two nations defying the desired motion / resolution.

Happy to discuss more thoroughly when Metzi's done his game. :)

Good pick of leader for Civ. I think the real Vikings would have loved to have Cathy for their Queen. I also think the real Cathy would have loved ruling the Vikes.
