Hey.....

Well, it's great to be back on the best Civ site that there is! I haven't been around for a while for various reasons, but today I'm so chuffed - got myself Civilization V Gods and Kings! So it's back to late nights and turning up to work bleary-eyed!

I had a quick look at it when Civ V was first released, and it looked great. The only thing is, I am struggling to find the latest, official patch for it. Do I need a general Civ V patch, or do I need a Gods & Kings specific patch? Help!!! If someone could point me in the right direction that would be most appreciated. Although I am using the internet tethering from my phone, so do I really need it patched, or could I just play it as it is?

Anyhows, just wanted to say hi to all you guys & gals, and hope you are well - I'm sure I'll be back now I'm back to what will surely be my new Civ V addiction.....

It should patch automatically through Steam when you launch the game; version number at the bottom of the main menu should be 1.0.2.44. There is no need for separate patches.

Hi...

Thanks for the reply bdporter.....my mate borrowed me a box version, and i can't see any option to do it from the game. Is there a site I can go to and just download it?

Can't do it inside the game and there is no legitimate download site with patches other than Steam. You need to log into your Steam account and validate your game cache files from there.

Ah, okey dokes. Actually, while I'm here, do you HAVE to produce something in a city? And why is warrior not an option? (I'm playing a tutorial btw.....)

Ah, I think it's because it's a tutorial, it's limiting what I can produce............
