Hi, just a simple question regarding cities

Is it possible to cancel a building that a city is producing? I have never been able to find out how.

Yes, you can switch to building something else. "ctrl-click" to get another unit/building/wonder in front of the building que. The you can click on the other building to remove it from the building que (or leave it in the que for later). If it's the first turn building something it's enough to just click on another building/unit/wonder to change what the city is producing.

I know another way to cancel something you have in the build queue is just double click on that item when on the main city screen. I usually just click on what I do want to build instead in the main city screen for something differerent than what's going up.

I wish you got some hammer overflow after canceling a production or at least some gc ... not sure how exploitable it would be, but it seems like a waist to cancel a production or leave it in the queue forever ...

Octavian if your building infrastructure or a wonder the hammers will remain with the structure so if you put 50 hammers into stonehenge than cancel to something else you can do that and if you start it back up the hammers will still be there. But, if you wait too long the hammers degrade.
