High School Musical is notorious for being terrible and evil. However, 9 out of 10 people who say it sucks have never seen it before. I am just curious how many people dislike it who have SEEN the Movies before

Never seen it, but its one of those things you don't need to see to know its not good. A musical marketed towards teenagers that has undoubtedly a warped version of high school. It was made by Disney, after all.

I didn't like it. It just wasn't that bad, not really deserving the hatred it gets sometimes

I think this is a skewed question. Entertainment is targetted for certain demographics; of course many adults are not going to think a Disney musical themed around high school stereotypes is very good.

For the record, I've seen the movies and enjoyed them when I was yet in a younger demographic. Now that I've moved on past that, they don't seem as good as they used to be. It's natural.

Well he asked a question about an objective aesthetic judgement ("Is High School Musical aesthetically good or ugly?") not a subjective one. ("Did you consider High School Musical to be good or bad when you were of the target demographic group?") Talking about whether or not the target or non-target demographics likes it is irrelevant to the matter of how aesthetically pleasing it objectively is; and it is most certainly not aesthetically pleasing merely because it's popular.

Well, it's self evident. If you don't think it's terrible, it's most likely simply because you only watch, view, or listen to terrible things.

I hate it, although I have never seen it. I did watch a brief clip on youtube, the "get'cha head in the game" song from the (first?) movie, and it is completely terrible. I like musicals, but that was ridiculously bad, and from what I've heard, is supposed to be a good part of the movie.....

So, based on what I've heard/what I've seen, the entire musical sucks. Not just sucks, but takes sucking to a whole new level.
