Now for the analysis:

The shocking stat here is 46 posts/member. Do we have hordes of inactive accounts?

I'm trying to raise that as fast as I can.

Some members sign up and download mods, maps, and units and so forth.

Good point, hadn't taken that into account.

Also, don't forget that several subforums here do not add to post count.

We have loads of em, most of them are harmless users who just register to utilize the download feature of CFC. The plus side is that CFC never deletes your inactive account after being inactive for a certain amount of time (Like certain websites).

We have a total of ~137,000 members total; of those:
~31,000 have postcounts above 4; of those,
~5,500 members have postcounts above 100; of those,
~2,000 members have postcounts above 500; and of those,
~1,200 members have postcounts above 1000.

(All this taken from the member's list information. And of course, it disregards the forums where postcount is disabled.)

So yes, there are hordes of inactive accounts.

I'd suggest 90% of the userbase is now deadweight.. but it will help TF get sponsorship money, so I don't begrudge him

Did anyone know that TLC and CurtSibling, #2 and #3 in postcount, joined withing a week of eachother!

I'm surprised the average PC/member is 46 actually, I expected it to be around 10!

We have, like any big forum, tens of thousands of inactive members.

You can download still if you're unregistered, you just can't use the (useless) search function.
