Higher resolutions not working after latest windows upates

I have a 3940 x 2160 monitor ( normal use 2560x1440 for the game) but any resolution higher than 2048x1536 is completely messed up.
This is a Windows 11 and geforce RTX 3070 graphics card. It has all the latest updates and I have updated the graphic driver.

Apparently I was using the DirectX 9 option (by default) when I changed to DirextX 10 the problem went away.
