On another note: A unit disbanded due to deficit research and 0 gold in the treasury. This wasn't intentional, and I'm adjusting the research slider to avoid future deficits.

I can leave the slider one tick higher than the minimum needed for research, and that puts a little bit more gold into research than what I spent as a deficit last turn. Should I do that? The deficit wasn't intentional -- muz's surprise capture of Lanchow had something to do with it (having an ally play the July turn for me may also have had something to do with it -- I think I would have caught it if I'd had time to play the July turn). However, the rules at the beginning of the thread imply a VP penalty no matter what (the wording is confusing, so I'm not 100% sure if it applies in this case).

Basically, I don't want to take both the VP penalty *and* "wasted" research gold in response to this deficit -- one or the other seems fair, but I'd feel stupid taking both.

Second "oops": In looking back at the rules, I realized that I broke the "4 planes per airfield" rule near Chihkiang. I rebased the excess aircraft this turn to get that airfield back to 4, and I hope that losing their bombing power for the turn is sufficient penalty. I think it should be -- if I'd remembered that rule when I was rebasing aircraft 2 and 3 turns ago, I'd have sent them to nearby cities where they'd still be able to reach Japanese forces. That said, I would also understand a greater penalty.

Edit: I was hoping to get some feedback by leaving the game open for a bit, but I can't really hold off on that any longer. I'll do the higher-than-needed research slider.

? I checked my last save and it´s all good for me...except i don´t have Nature in the list...Maybe there´s a conflict when your playing Nature, it replaces alliance 3 for Nature and for other players it doens´t appear Nature instead...

First of all,
i think that some rules may be reminded, about invisible units :

Blizzards may not pillage roads, rails, mines forts and irrigation.

Blizzards may not move south of Maikop.

Guerilla and partisan units may move but cannot
attack or destroy improvements.

Because i've had some suprises, with tiles that have been pillaged by invisible units, that i spoted this turn with my workers (that can't move on those tiles)

Exemple north of Seoul :



i don't even know if those units were Blizzards (that are souther of Maikop, and that have pillaged roads)
Or if that were partisan or guerrilla (that are not allowed to destroy improvements)


But, those units have pillaged previous turn for sure, and this turn... and probably some turns before

I was really angry seeing a lot of roads destroyed each turn and despite i have 3/4 worker re-building them really fast, i was not able to reinforce Harbin when Russia attacked this city previous turn, because of those pillaged roads


Then, i'm not 100% sure, if those invisible units are Russian, but only 99%
Because when i played Nature turn, i notice that nature invisible units haven't capacity to pillage... but maybe there are such units ? but there is no nature city near to Peking or Seoul, that's why i think it's probably Russian invisible units... and finaly, pillaging while attacking a city make me pretty sure it's a russian well organized attack.

But if i'm wrong, forget what i wrote,

They are russian, you are right, they are Red Armies, but that rule you are stating was only aplicable on the pre-turn, not the turns of the game itself, thus, invisibile units can pillage all they want, what was their purpose for existence if they could not pillage improvements? invisible scouts ?



As for Blizzards, they have never been south of Maikop, they did not captured airfields and they have all been disbanded in the date determined by the house rules.

Also, i´v been using Guerrilas in Europe and Red Armies in Asia only.
