Is there any way you can order all of you units to attack a city rather than one at a time ?

Eg You might have 10 tanks next to his city and its your turn. I find it frustrating attacking one at a time ?

in patch 1.17 u can move units at the same time so maybe if you do that to attack it might work

Can't do it. Their is an "auto-bombard" coming in the XP, I've read. Personally, I prefer one at a time - I can then adjust strategy depending on the outcome of the attacks, so I wouldn't use any auto-attack.

Do you mean all of the tanks attack one after each other without you doing anything? Or do you mean that they all attack at the same time? If you mean the second question, than you should go play a real-time game.:)

As Sanaz said: It can't be done. With stacked movement ("J"), if you move the mouse / target cursor over an enemy (or even a transport for that matter), it just "disappears".

It would disappear in the same way as if you were to use the "go to" command on a land unit, and put your cursor in the water.

You are correct.

Many of us have long bemoaned the lack of STACK COMBAT:

if you have four Immortals attacking five spearmen it is a base rate of 16 to 10. Less than that if the spearmen are fortified, of course. Hit points would be factored in. It should be one big battle, and you could have tactical options for both sides such as "Frontal Assault"; "Outflank on the Left"; "Fighting Withdrawl"; etc.

Unfortunately we have no stack combat, not even with an Army -units attack individually even with it. We also have no military leaders who could effect combat percentages.

I have no idea why Civ 3 kept the concept of individual units attacking individual units instead of the more realistic, and less tedious, STACK combat.
