4. "Somewhat" not wanting to do the dishes counts I guess...
Yeah. Everyone deals with depression in their own way. Thusly, this test is worthless.
I, for example, scored a '20' when in reality, I probably should have scored around '50'.
But I don't deal with depression by letting everything slide. My sadness quickly converts into anger fueling my drive to get work/chores done.
I don't tell everyone they suck
besides how will we get better if not through DISCUSSION OF MUTUALLY INTELLECTUALLY STIMULATING TOPICS or some crap like that
I would discuss history with you, if only I wasn't such a novice at it.
Or, at least compared to you I'm a novice. Compared to ordinary people I know, I'm like some sort super-genius or something.
I got 80. Considering what happened a few days ago Im not surprised (Im not gonna talk about that though)
Apparently I am suffering from mild to moderate depression, yet I know that I'm not. For one, being sleep-less is not a sign of depression, it's a sign of favour towards being nocturnal (due to giving the impression that I'm staying up longer than I really am, yet also sleeping longer).
Screwed up brain chemicals. (Not necessarily by taking illict drugs.)
Same here. I scored 19, mainly on my sleeping. If I'm borderline depressed there's a great future in psychology. I'm actually a fairly happy-go-lucky personality. I wonder if 10% of people are completely depression-free according to that survey.
27, which is about right
Did I not describe a cognitive problem?
The chemical imbalance thing is an excuse used to peddle prescription drugs.
Shekwan: What you described was a huge generalization of a varied disorder. Scientists still struggle to find a real "cause" for depression, though a lot of it appear to be genetic.
1) Not really. "self centeredness" isn`t a cognitive process.
2) No it isn`t.
Being sleepless can be a symptom of depression, but isn`t in itself indicative of depression. Same with lethargy or loss of appetite.
Enter the symptom of a cold or flu into that survey and it`ll order the valium for you.
That's what real Americans call sweetened carbonated soft drinks.
Whatever my score was, add a few more points.
So coke? Is that why VRCW bounces around like a bunny?
I got a 67 . No surprise there.
Well maybe if you actually got on #nes I would be more than willing to talk history with you
My score was 10, but I think most of that comes from demands that I place very heavily on myself and a subconscious which constantly tells me I am inadequate or generally a failure.
