How do I get ride of that intro sceen at the start?

Everytime I go in the game it kicks in. I'm sick of seeing the old guy.

Also for those of you who don't have it yet go pre-download from steam because that first download takes a while.

The intro scene is skippable, but you have to wait until the son comes into the tent, then press the space key. I hope they fix this in the next patch.

You can actually skip it before then. It varies.

It's my theory it's actually loading at this point, and you can't skip until the game's loaded behind the video.

Go to "My Documents\My Games\Sid Meiers Civilization 5\" and open usersettings.ini in Notepad. About 15 lines down you will find "SkipIntroVideo = 0". Make this value 1 (to skip the intro movie)

That's like a plausible idea. I would just prefer a pretty looking load screen than hearing gramps spouting out the prophecies.
