I was playing a game as Egyptians, and signed a peace treaty with Aztecs. Part of their tribute was the town of Miami (they captured it from the Americans years before). As you can see there is no harbor and no airport. Yet somehow the town has four rubber resources. That's probably the number I have in my other cities, but I also have other resources. The Aztecs have 1 rubber, the road to which was destroyed this very turn. Can anyone explain this?

Hmm.... You should send this in as an SOTD.... Would make a pretty good one.

Also... No... I can not explain this... No harbor... No source's of rubber in site... Either a weird glitch or some pretty good editing on your (or somebody else's) part.

Was there rubber below the city? Press CTRL-SHIFT-M to see the underlaying terrain. You could post a save, too.

Editing, huh? I even have a savegame of this, so I can post it if you like.

No.... I don't need any proof... I'll trust you... It's happened before with coal and I'm almost positive this is the true thing also... Still like I said... It would make a good SOTD.

Hmm, looks like a Good canadate for a SOTD :).

Seriously, I have no I dea how that happened.

Chieftess: Even if there was, it would only be one. And there wasn't.

Edit: Oops, there is actually. But, again, it's just one.

It might be a bug but its normal. I just checked a game I am currently playing and I had an island with two cites and it had rubber and iron on it. I sold both harbors and all of my other resources and luxeries vanished but both cites still had rubber and iron and they still had the same number as all the rest my cities.

Actually.... There are 4 rubber there and only two land tiles in the city limits.... So that makes yet another mystery

The city is on top of a rubber. You have altogether 4 rubbers under control. So the game just shows that you have access to rubber in this city. The top bar shows accessible resources to this city - the number is just the total in your empire.

Thus, not a bug (It's a feature :) )

Not to mention if you look at the city, it's producing 4 gold. Either it's on a hill with a resource, or it's on some other resource.

That's true. Upper resource box shows how many of X Strat. Resource you have.

note rubber, iron and coal are all stratigic resorces. maybe thats why they don't dissapear after having had them before.

sorry if i am wrong but can't you builds unites with a resource and still finish it even if the resource goes as long as it takes less than 10 turns. so could it be somthing like that?

Mmh, unless I'm mistaken, a city square produce always the same amount whatever the terrain the city is on.

The 4 golds are probably because he's playing a commercial civ.

Ah well, I AGAIN lost a good occasion to shut up then :D
