How do I install Patches?

I have been having trouble installing patches... can someone tell me what they do to install them? I download them and get a zip file, extract the file then I have the folder on my desktop... what do i do with the folder?

The Patches I have tried to install have been: Solvers Unofficial Patch, RFC B107, and RFC Epic.

I have found it out and since no one has posted I guess no one cares about it...
