How Do You Add A Mod?

I can't figure out how you add a mod would someone please help me out and tell me how to add a mod?

just extract it into your Civilization III/scenarios folder, then "load scenario" in the game startup menu.
If you want it to be your default mod, then rename it Civ3mod.bic and replace the existing one in your main civ3 folder, and play like you normally would. If you do, just remember to backup the original.
