How do you build panzers, can't ever get them.

I have played the Germans several times, and have never been able to build panzers. Do oil and rubber have to be in the same city? If that is the case, the odds of ever building unique units like panzers and F-15s are very slim. Can someone shed some light on this for me, please? Thank you.

They're there for me. As long as you have the resources needed somewhere (they show up as available) then you should be able to build them.

But don't be confused by the fact that regular tanks also continue to show up -- the Panzer's are there but out of order and way down the unit list.

As long as a city has access to Oil and Rubber by roads, you should be able to build panzers. Have you seen any other UU floating around the game? Maybe you've turned off civ-specific abilities for this game. When you start a new game, it remembers what you chose last time for game options, so maybe you turned it off for your first game and have never been playing with civ-specific abilities and UUs.

No, I have not changed anything in the editor related to that. I will go back and look at my last game as the germans again. I had developed regular tank, but not modern tanks yet.

If you can build regular tanks then it sounds like you have civ-specific abilities turned off. Germans should not be able to build regular tanks. To make sure. Start a New game, and on the screen where you pick your civilization and right above the game level should be game options. One of them says 'Play with civ-specific abilities abilities' or something like that. Make sure that is checked.

Unfortunatly you will not be able to build Pantzers in your current game.
