How do you identify CFC'ers?

Usualy the username, but I do sometimes, especially if their avatar is a creature/machine I tend to think of them as looking like their avatar.

Mostly by username, I suppose, but I also identify by avatar - Perfection has always kept his familiar pentagon, for instance.

Avatars are a quick way for me to find out if any posters that I typically always read have posted while eschewing the newbies and the uninspired.

Of course, when I'm looking for Stratego's posts I just scan for moderator action tags.

I quite agree. I mostly go by avatar, and realise that quite a few peope didn't recognise me when I changed from my Midnight Oil kangaroo.
