How do you see what a foreign civ is researching?

I have the espionage points necessary but i cant seem to figure out where I see what they are researching. Any help would be appreciated.

it appears as an icon, next to the civs name, bottom right of screen. You need espionage on the particular civ, and have contact with them.

Place mouse cursor over the icon, and it will say tech, time appears below the icon.
