How does one take a screen shot?

I tried print screen, but I can't find where it creates a file, if that works. I also tried printscreen and paste into MSPaint, but I get a scene from the intro cinematic

unfortunately, they're in some weird .tpa file format.

TGA file format. It's viewable just fine in Windows 7's image viewer thingy, but if want to upload it somewhere or email to a friend or something, I advise you compress it with some image program. Standard compressed formats includes JPG and PNG.
