Ottoman Empire, 1485
Significant expansion in the span of 19 years. The three states along the southern coast of modern Turkey were my first targets, and were taken at the cost of much infamy, and in the case of Adana, many more troops (but successfully this time, with the help of a true naval blockade). Those conquests were complete by 1480. Then I turned on my old ally Ak Koyunlu. Sibir and Astrakhan allied with them, but to no avail - they're one-provinced now. I'm pleased with my expansion thus far - definitely shaping up to be an empire rather than a small kingdom.
Also significant is the opening of four refineries, in Morea, Crete, Ionia, and Smyrna. I am the most advanced country in infrastructure, at the cost of one level of military advancement relative to most of Europe, which clearly isn't mattering right now. These refineries will pump money into trade research as well as increase my trade efficiency, which will hopefully make me good at trade as well (right now I'm slightly, but not a full level, behind the major powers).
Abroad, the collapse of Burgundy (via an event) to the benefit of France and Austria is the biggest news. Austria beat up on Venice some as well, and somehow managed to get a united empire, if a bit odd-shaped. Eire has also re-emerged, although Portugal does control part of the Emerald Isle and Ulster remains on its own.
Infamy is not yet high, at 14.2, but is drastically increased. Albania would seem a logical target but is allied with Naples (who has 22000 men in Napoli), Siena, Venice, and The Papal States. The last one is the big problem, especially with regards to Apulia. Austria + Hungary and Mamluks + Oman are the other choices in the logical directions. My only core in Georgia is their capital so that doesn't work quite so well unless I want two countries completely surrounded by me.
