How is your EU3 Game going?

So it's F12 for whole map what about just your Providences. And BTW I would like to see a game where someone plays as a native American tribe.

Check out Paradox Forums, there is a separate section for EU3 AAR's, including ton of games with native tribes. Even some WC-s.

Own provinces only is shift-F12.

I've found a reason to keep nations with your own culture group. It seems they are more likely to buy fresh colonies for a reasonable sum of gold. I managed to sell colonies to both Gotland and Denmark but other nations is "very unlikely" at 0 and impossible at anything above. My relation with Denmark was between -100 and -200 and they are catholic while I'm protestant, still I could sell a colony to them for amazing 2000 gold (chance "unlikely", took a couple of tries).

What is the directory for the screen shot? And real quickly, how do you send colonists, explores, ect. out?

Colonists
Click on the uncolonized region you want to colonize, and click the send colonist button (a picture of a colonist). On the region display there are a few stats you need to pay attention too: the number of natives, the ferocity of said natives, and a couple of others I forget which all affect the chance of success. The region also has to be within your colonial range.

Explorers
You need to hire explorers from the same menu as generals and admirals and attach them to a naval unit the same way as admirals. Choose fast but strongly hulled ships, I usually pick a fleet of 3. As their hulls will degrade quickly in unexplored territories so keep an eye on them at all times.

How do you get to that screen for explorers?

Your ship needs to be in port (same 'button' - more like a label - as for generals)

Here is the new Rome and no it is not the HRE.

A few questions (NOTE: I'm using vanilla). 1. I am at war and my ally is occupying a providence, is there anyway to get it from him. 2. I have take over a country, but I cannot annex them (same war as above), they still have units. 3. How do you send missionaries to other countries? 4. What is the directory for the F12 screens 5. What ship should I use to explore the new world and how soon should I get the "Quest for the New World" idea?

Negative, unless they lose it.

2. I have take over a country, but I cannot annex them (same war as above), they still have units.

You can only annex a) one-province countries, or b) pagan countries. Hence why pagans are something everyone shoots for.

3. How do you send missionaries to other countries?

You can only send missionaries to provinces you control, by clicking on them and clicking "Send" on the missionary button that appears next to the city screen.

4. What is the directory for the F12 screens

In Vista(or at least mine), it's Users > (Your name) > AppData > Local > Virtual Store > Program Files > Paradox Interactive > Europa Universalis 3 > Screenshots

5. What ship should I use to explore the new world and how soon should I get the "Quest for the New World" idea?

Galleys will be blown away. Use only big ships to cross the ocean. How many is up to you, though a few is wise and it allows you to keep exploring/recover if any are lost to attrition.

How soon you should get the idea depends on your strategy. If you're a strong militarist, you should be more focused on stability, religious and army-related ideas. If you're a trader/pacifist, you should be more focused on acquiring commercial ideas and, of course, Quest for the New World, which will help any commercial power enormously.

I don't really understand this game at all..

Is there a beginner's guide or walk through anywhere?

I'll go through the tutorials again. Thanks for the advice.

Okay Thank you, could I annex them by demanding all, but one providence and then declaring war again? And there isn't a folder under that directory called screenshots. This could mean I didn't take anything, but I sure I hit F12.

And under options>Game you can change the difficulty to an easier level.

And one more question: If there is more than one country besieging the enemy what determines who occupies it afterward?

So i crushed Muscovny with 99% warscore.

Now, Pskov owns Novgorod which have a Center of Trade and I want to kill it. I hoped having all provinces surrounding the CoT and then embargo the land would starve it but it didn't work (it went from 500 to 300). So is there any way I can starve a CoT to death? If I go into war with Pskov owning all provinces around it, will that by itself starve it?
