How many hours have you spent playing Civilization IV?

the game has been out approx 2200 days. (6 years)
I pretty much bought it on release.
In the beginning I did play a LOT more. (remember sitting on a internetcafe with a friend doing 7pm to 7am multiplayer a few times too often in the weekends).
Hell, I even had civ dreams in the beginning.
Later I started to mod, and its a difficult line to draw when you are playtesting and modding, coz many times I do it at the same time.

But... if its including CFC, modding and playtesting I guess it could be in the 4000+
if its without then maybe around 2000.

Civ 5 on the other hand, maybe 3-5 hours.

I voted 501 to 1000 but then thought that was ridiculously low and did a quick recount. Taking into account that I was made redundant this year and have spent a lot of hours filling my time with Civ IV I would have to say about 2000.

I played Civ II (serious addiction) for 3 hours a day on average for 3 years so that's another 3,300. I don't even want to count SMAC/X.

I wish Steam kept track of non-steam games so I could give a better estimate (Yea it's a steam game but I didn't buy it on steam but added it to my steam library so I could use steam chat and stuff while playing it, and I usually play it that way.)

I've been playing this game... since about a week before people got scared that the LHC was gonna end the world way back when. 'cause I remember I was one of those idiots that thought that. 2008. Been playing it off an on since then. I'll just guess between 1000 and 2000

I don't think I've ever had a civ game go longer than 20 hours, personally.

Nah, lol. I rarely spend more than 3 hours on a game, and there's plenty of games where I just quit due to boredom/failure/ stupid crap happening.

I installed xfire 6 months ago, and it says that I played around 200 hours in my profile. I'll say I played around 500 hours or so.

I hear ya! Now that the Bears have lost Cutler for the season, I will be playing more.
