Currently behind you with a knife.
After reading some of the safety precautions at the back of the Civ 3 manual I realized that most times I play I break almost all of them.

how about you?
here are the four precautions that were in the manual.

1.Do not sit or stand too close to the monitor. Play as far back from the monitor as possible. (how can you not be close to a computer?)

2.Do not play if you are tired or need sleep. (that the only time I play)

3.Always play in a well-lit room. (no the computer light does not count as well lit.)

4.Be sure to take a 10- to 15- minute break every hour while playing. (sure I will ;) )

I don't know about Civ#, but I where a full NBC suit when posting on Civfanatics in case some part of you lot comes down the ether...

1. I tried playing civ from the next room. It improved my skills dramaticly - I haven't lost. The problem is that the game stayed at 4000bc so I didn't have any chance to use my improved skill.

2. I'm always tired.

3. I have a very strong monitor

4. I take 7 hours of sleep for every day I play civ. Is it good enough?

I follow Safety precations, but I was unawre of the "safty" rules!

In Baldur's Gate II, random advice messages (like: a troll can only be killed by fire or acid) pop up when areas are loading. Once, I noticed it saying:

"While your character does not have to eat, YOU DO. We don't want to lose any dedicated players."

When reading the 4 safety precautions, I thought they were a joke, but now I realize they are probably serious.

There's writing on the box besides Civilization III? Next thing you'll tell me is there are printed materiels in the box, or an instruction booklet. All I saw was a CD-ROM. I popped it in, and started playing... :D

How convenient, thats how long i have to wait between turns for all of the AI to finish their moves. ;)

Blame those strange-ass. epilepsy-inducing Japanese cartoons.

My only rule is to break all rules... Except that one.

I actually had to turn my eyes away from the TV when the Simpsons episode making fun of that cartoon cmae up.

I believe the cartoon which caused all those seizures was Pokemon and around 700 kids were afflicted, a guinness world record;)
