how many players?

In prvvious civs therew was an option to select how many players there were, for single human player. There does not seem to be an option to do this in civ 4. so can I select who and how many ai opponents I have?

goto single player --> custom game --> select "closed" for as many AIs you do not want in your game

I agree that it should be in the Play Now... If the play now button were like the Civ3 button where it just took you straight to a game then it'd be different, but if I'm going to set up everything else about the game, I might as well put in how many people I'm going to play against, however, I guess that's the main difference to the custom game, so whatever, personally I don't care since the Custom Game has it, but it did kinda seem strange to not put it in the other option
