How old are you? (The eternal one, with birthdates!)

When were you born?

Yes. Some people think that because their ancient calendar runs out it means that the end of the world is arriving.
I did a tarot reading on that whole Dec 21, 2012 thing. They said "unfortunate twist of fate in the environment". They also said there will be life after that date. Just not for everyone. ;)

Look guys. If they got anywhere near 2012, they would have expanded their calendar.

I mean really. If they stopped at 544383482764, for obviously practical reasons, then people would say the world is ending then?!

How far does this ancient calendar need to go before they are not predicting the end of the world?

They got up to 2012 and said "well, that's far enough for now". Or, actually, they probably had people working on the calendar until the empire crumbled and finances for astrologers dried up. End of story. It's not like they could have run a calendar out to, like, 20 billion trillion gazillion years.

People act as if, were it not for my computer, I don't have a personal calender and thus time has already ended for me.

No calendar = no existence of the world!

How do we come to that conclusion?! I hope everyone here has physical calendars for the next few hundred years in storage. I'd hate for us not to make it that far. Personally, I don't have a physical calendar for next year, so my time must be coming to an end. Like I said, I don't have a physical calendar for THIS year... so maybe I'm already dead and the world has ended.

No calendar, no world. Thems the rules!

I don't think he meant that literally. :)

Take it Germany!

Mods can always add more dates.

That doesn't mean crap because unless I somehow traveled into the future people are joking and saying they were born in 2009+. As for people before 89, what a bunch of losers. Why can't an adult find anything better to do like a job, car driving, motor cycling, tons of work around the house, etc. Though I'm sure the moderators are adults because how many teens could run a website? So there of course is a difference. Other than that you must be a loser.

Hey, cool story! Can you tell me more?

i'd feel more bad if i had thrown my youth away posting here.
in fact the mere thought of spending the second half of my teens on an internet forum makes me sad.

Get out of your mom's basement. No wonder there are a bunch of Obama loving liberals here.
If you would rather not throw your youth away here then why are you here now?

Awesome! Then what happened?

Old enough to know better :old:.

As an "adult" I find your comment truly hilarious, as well as, lacking in both insight and thoughtfulness.

I have a job and work 50-55 hours a week. I have a wife and grown kids and have been a member here for 7.5 years and a mod for six months. You seem to have missed the very community nature of CFC and its appeal to a broad spectrum of people who generally get along and have fun. Of course I could spend my time engaged in the great intellectual pastimes of watching sports or reality TV, but I put them right up there with driving around or motorcycling as time wasters without redeeming value. CFC is a much better choice.
