Newfangle was a lefty??!!!
What is he, a born-again objectivist?
I dont know. I stopped posting in these forums at the time period he shifted sides. There were more conservative members back than there are now and things used to get alot more heated and emotional.

I just hate seeing "lol" written out in posts.
I like you more for saying that. I also generally disapprove of gratuitous smiles. If you need something like :goodjob: :king: :D  [party] :rotfl: to get people to look at your posts, you can't be saying anything worth reading.

17. There seem to be a lot of us around....

Born 2 years, 11 months and 22 days after the first one... :mischief:

Which would make me 21 years old in 35 days.

I'm starting to understand why there are so very many liberals here. Few people here are paying taxes yet. ;) The young are typically leftist.
Winston Churchill said that if are not liberal when you are young, you have no heart. . . and if you are not conservative when you are older, you have no head.
For once, Churchill didn't have the snappiest formulation. Clemenceau upon hearing that his son had joined the Communist Party:
"Monsieur, my son is twenty-two years old," Clemenceau calmly replied. "If he had not become a Communist at twenty-two I would have disowned him. If he is still a Communist at thirty I will do it then."

Myself, I'm 22, and have never been a commie.

Greatest age ever, 21. I'm kind of freaked out that i'm now in the age bracket just below "old", though.

Born eight months after the 2nd Reagan inaugeration.

Hmmm ... should I date myself to 32 months after the 1st Nixon inaguration or 112 months before the 1st Reagan inagural?

For the record, I resent being classified as "old" just because I'm over 30 ...

I've been a commie at 14... but it was more a game than everything (Anyway, I've still read the Communist Manifesto at 14 :smug: ).

Today I'm 24, and after having read the first page of this thread I'm suddenly wondering what I still do here. :mischief:

'Communism' these days is a trend for teens who think they want to be rebellious.
A taste of Stalin's nightmare would terrify them into a catatonic state.

Me?
I am 30...And realising what an old geezer I must seem to these young whippersnappers!

*Reaches for dentures and blue rinse*
