Proposal 1:
  1. If the player leaves, they pass the game and control to the next person in the COC.
  2. If they disappear, wait 10 minutes then the next person on the COC plays from the last save game.
  3. Once a player is playing, they are the Designated Player. Returning players do not resume the game once someone else is playing.
  4. If a game has to be used that is not current then the moves from the chat log must be duplicated.
  5. The game should be uploaded after turn 0 and then after every 5 turns.
Proposal 2:
    5. The game should be uploaded as each turn is completed.
EDIT: "Last Save" means the very latest save available. If an in-turn save has been uploaded, this would be used instead of the save game posted from the previous chat.

This topic was discussed in this thread. Note that the only difference between the two proposals is the last item (how often the save is uploaded).

This poll began at 15:00 GMT on Monday May 20 and will end at 15:00 GMT on Wednesday May 22.

I voted 'none' because I don't think 10 minutes is long enough to wait is someone disappears.

We may want to try posting saves as we go, or doing away with or refining the turn chats...

A closer vote might be "Other" if the time limit was your only objection.

We used 10 minutes as it's consistent with how long we wait at the start of the game. Although the people in the chat have always waited more than 10 minutes they have never been rewarded by the return or arrival of the absent member in less than 45 minutes or so (by my reconning anyway - figuring out the chat logs can be difficult).

you should clarify that with the "last save" not the last-turnchats save is meant, but the saves uploaded during the chat. maybe changing the order to bring the regular save up in the list might do it to clarify this.

Edited to note this.
