Hello people,

I was making a new scenario and got a very basic doubt: how can we avoid AI of changing the initial civics?
I know that this must be the most basic question ever asked in these forums but if someone could help I would appreciate.

Sounds like a good question to me, I don't know the answer. :D

There are some fields in the XML\Civilizations\Civ4LeaderheadInfos.xml file that might do what you want. I'm not sure what they do so you will have to test them. Their names are iFavoriteCivicAttitudeChange, iFavoriteCivicAttitudeDivisor, iFavoriteCivicAttitudeChangeLimit, AdoptCivicRefuseAttitudeThreshold, and FavoriteCivic. From the settings in the file it looks like you could use the values from the the barbarian leader (in a non modded game) to do what you want.

I believe that, exept for the FavoriteCivic topic, the other fields you've mentioned are relationed exclusively with diplomatic issues. Anyway, I will take a look. Thank you.

Yes - make the tech, then switch the civic's prereq to that, and then make it impossible for a certain civilization to research it. See the Desert War mod for a limited example
