How to be the God Emperor of Mankind???

Okie, so I want to play a Religion-Diplomatic-Holy War victory. What leaders should I go for? I studied the leaders and their traits and Justinian & Isabella seem to be great zealots.

Is this a good plan?

A. Find a state religion, build religious buildings
B. Build the Pope Palace and holy city
C. Spread religion to other people with missionary, trade routes, and spies
D. Adopt Monarchy, Theocracy and Caste System(for infinite priests?)

I don't know what tiles I should work on to make this plan work. Should I go commerce? or focus on the hammers for faster production? How many cities should I get for military and how many cities for Great Prophet/religion specialist/culture? What do I research after the culture and religious techs? Caste System or Slavery, when to switch???

Let someone else give you a religion or beeline Chrstianity for the AP, give a few missionaries to people that really like you and win.

Military should be irrelevant if you're not near warmongers, assuming the map offers a standard amount of land. Use diplomacy to avoid war, whip if you get DoWed.

Caste System doesn't allow infinite Priests. Neither infinite Engineers.
Only unlimited Merchants, Scientists, or Artists.

I guess you want a AP diplo victory?

Pretty simple.

The easiest is probably Ramesses II.

Get a decent start. Get mysticism.

Build the egypt obelisk which lets you run 2 priests.

Build stonehenge or the oracle if you want, speeds up the Great Priest.

Run 2 priests while you beeline monotheism.

Once you get a great priest and you have monotheism bulb theology.

Convert to Christianity and build the AP.

Expand to enough cities to win diplo ( dunno maybe 5-6 high pop cities. ).

Spread christianity to 1 city for each AI.

Try to get friendly with a few AI's.

Win diplo with your vote + a few AI that like you

^^^ I think you need Writing as well to bulb Theo. Ramses would probably do well for using the Oracle to nab Theo as well - without worrying about the priests.

Yeah just did a test game on Deity, and as Ramesses II i could Oracle Theo even with Fantatics aslong as i had a Corn/Wheat/Rice in BFC for my worker to improve. Myst-Mason-Poly-Mono-Priest-Writing as Tech Path to try and avoid getting Early religions.

Oracling theo is a waste since it is so easy to get a GP and bulb it. It's pretty much the only useful bulb a GP has anyway.

Oracle should go to CoL or something.

Also you have to self tech mono which makes your oracle time longer, thus decreasing the chance of getting the oracle.
