How to cancel a trade route?

Hi, how can i cancel an traderoute ? Like now i am trading with egyptians and i want it to stop because they stop trading but i am still sending ivory to them...

Wait until 20 turns have expired (go to the diplo screen, and select active. You can then see how many turns are left).

Go to war - this will cause a rep hit, but end the trade.

You also could disconnect (read: pillage) either the ivory or the Egyptians from your trade network.

Exactly what do you mean by 'they stop trading' btw?

I think that would still be a rep hit... since you couldn't "control" the loss of your resource in the eyes of the AI.

That's true. I believe you even get a rep hit if a resource depletes btw...

Yeah you do get a Rep Hit. You get +4 on pillaging your road, and +5 on not trading a resource anymore, because trading the resource gave you -5 on the reputation before (and negative is good -11 means Gracious, +11 means Furious)

So pillaging your road to cut a resource trade to a friend, will give you +9 on your reputation, which is almost Furious, and will probably make them furious if they are annoyed with you.
