I don't know whether you have experienced this or not, when I play a 1900 industrial age scenarios I often feel the look of the city is a little bit too futuristic, the skyscrapers make me feel it is not industrial age, it is atom age.

Then how to edit the game so the city remain the old look once it entered the industrial age? Thanks!

Thanks, by the way, do you know which file should I edit in order to change the era of a city look, let's say, I want my cities to remain the old look of an Renaissance town without skyscrapers even it is in atom era.

I tried to find the related file, but I really could not find it.

Could anyone give me a helping hand?

I believe it's hardcoded, unfortunately.

It's certainly not an ideal solution, but you could extract the FPKs with the script in Nexus or use the third-party tool, Dragon UnPACKer, grab the fxsxml files for the late era--there'll be one for each building style (afri, amer, asia, euro, medit, poly), e.g., afri_mod_city.fxsxml), edit it (it's a text file) to rename the associated gr2 to the middle era one, e.g., afri_ren_city.gr2. Then make a fake DLC, or set LooseFilesOverridePAK = 1 in your config.ini and place these [fxsxml] files in your assets folder.
