30+15 45 gold
build forbidden palace
(here comes now the good part your commerce city is also good for science city so your city gives much SCIENCE AND COMMERCE
build smiths trading company iy wont help you much but every penny is good he?


build wall street

gives you 50 gold as a bonus
so 95 gold more is good he?
+ 360 procent more science in that city is a really good city he?
so combine money and science boost and you will get a fantastic city

hey guys try this one. . .
just right before you change your gov't due to any reason, put your science and happiness slider to zero(0) and watch your money doubles in one turn. i came from a democracy and switch to communism.... i got 2500 golds in a turn, right before my gov't descends to anarchy!! pls let me know if this also works with u

VERY EASY MID/LATE GAME STRATEGY FOR GOLD!!

-After the land rush and a few wars raze one or two of those small, almost wortlhess, enemy cities out on the Tundra that inevitably get built. To make sure this works for the duration, it is best to have some preferable terrain open elsewhere.

Now go raid barbarian camps for twenty-five gold every second or third term as they continually rebuild. Also a good way to build elites in peacetime.

good idea, grope4luna. That would work really well also if your're on an island, seal your borders and allow a box of desert, tundra to stay. Then build units, kill camps, get gold, get elites. (wow... i wonder why i didn't think of that)
