How to play on a custom map?

Hey,

I used the search option but there were way to many results to find something there

I have an extremely noobish question: how to play on a custom map?
I've made myself a sweet map and I have no idea how to start a game on it. There's no "choose map" or "play scenario" option in Civ's main menu.

PS.
Do i need to manually place civs/cities (and starting locations) on my map or they will be scattered automatically on game start?

Go to "Single Player" -> "Set up Game" -> "Advanced Setup".

There you can choose the map type.

Yeah, it appeared in map type meny. Didn't expect it to be there - was looking for something more... um... Shiny and button-like P
