Young Emperor
Hello fellow civ players,
Here's my recent game as Mansa Musa of Mali. I'm planning to do this xbows+trebs rush strategy that I learned from hr_oskar. I'm with Bismarck and Brennus on the continent. Brennus founded Judaism and spread it to me, and I converted to it in the hope of pushing Brennus into a war with Bismarck. But unfortunately he Dows on somebody only if he's friendly with you and at least annoyed with that somebody. So he got pleased with me after I adopted his religion but he refused to Dow on Bismarck because he was cautious with Bismarck and pleased with me. When he got friendly towards me he was also pleased with Bismarck upon his conversion to Judaism. On the other hand, I tried to make Bismarck Dow on Brennus because he dowes on anybody unless he's friendly towards them. He was willing to dow on Brennus but I only got Alphabet and Mysticsm over him so he didn't find them enough. Later he gradually became a tech-whore and now he got at least three important techs over me (and I have aesthetics over him) and he doesn't trade them with me because in order for him to trade techs, at least 70% of the other civs must know those techs. Now Bismarck got friendly with Brennus and he wouldn't dow on Brennus even though I give him Aesthetics as bribe. So what can I do to make Bismarck trade his techs with me? Any ideas? I have 2 great scientists waiting to bulb Machinery&Engineering, but in order to do that I need construction and Metal Casting ASAP. Even now I can dow on Brennus and take at least 4 cities of him but I'm pretty sure that after my Dow next turn Bismarck would dow on me. So what should I do? Dow on Brennus with the risk of being dowed by Bismarck on the next turn or just wait for the Machinery& Engieering? Yeah I know I can ask for a cheap tech to Bismarck(before I dow on Brennus) and that would keep him away for 10 turns, but afterwards wouldn't be that much certain. I also put a spy in Cherokee in the hope that I could steal Construction from Bismarck. Anyway, here is the save and I look forward to your insights and comments!
