DISREGARD -- I sucked it up and reinstalled :-P

* * * *
After install, I wanted to uninstall the Blue Marble component of AND 1.73H, but was hoping I wouldn't have to reinstall everything in the process. Not sure where Blue Marble gets installed, and if simply deleting the folder/files would fix?

Thanks in advance!
P.S. I started getting MAFs, which I shouldn't be getting with Win7X64 and 12GB ram (and a ATI 5870 card), so I want to dial back the graphics to make sure that's not the problem...

Even though you said disregard, I did want to add - Civ IV is a 32-bit process and thus can only address a limited amount of your RAM.

Hooray for Civ V not having this issue!

As I understand it, using a x64 bit system and this hack allows civ to use more RAM than in an x86 system (up to 4 GB). I was getting MAFs while using less than 2 GB...

Confirmed on Microsoft's site: http://blogs.technet.com/b/markrussinovich/archive/2008/11/17/3155406.aspx
"Because the address space on 64-bit Windows is much larger than 4GB...Windows can give 32-bit processes the maximum 4GB that they can address and use the rest for the operating system’s virtual memory."

And that's the two reasons I'm looking forward to Civ5: Multi-core support and 64-bit process.

I'm looking forward to Civ5 because it's more of a clean slate... I feel like the expansions for vanilla, while they added new material, cluttered up the code and made the game less simple and encouraged micro-management. Same with mods... I just want a clean slate. :sad:

I think a lot of modders do.

Myself, I'd like to get in on the ground floor of something big and major for Civ V, instead of coming in and tweaking someone else's big work like I have for Civ IV.
