This person keeps sending stupid chain email. The latest one claimed that an email can obliberate the hardware on a computer  I replied to that, said no, thats not possible, and wrote in big letters "PLEASE STOP SENDING CHAIN EMAILS!!!"

....well, she didn't. I'm at the point of blocking her, but I don't want to.

Send her a virus

Is she facilitating it or is it happening automatically?

If it is happening automatically I think it would be proper to warn her that her system is infected and then block her. If you still need to communicate, create a new disposable email account to use with her until she can fix it. Have her remove your proper address from her contacts list in her client. Better still, have her fix the virus.

I realise this sounds like a big deal, and there's no guarantee that is isn't just redundant but y'know....better safe than sorry.

Since she's probably always sending the chain mails to the same people, you can filter all emails from her that also go to that large list of people. That way you still get any mail she sends to you personally, but the bulk mailings go away.

What you should do is go over to her house at 3 AM and blast polka music.

She won't do it again.

just spam her email. go to a site and just start signing up for things using her email address and let her get spammed...

actually, that's not a good way to stop the chain letters, but it is a good way to get even ;)

Tell her to stop, in person if you have to, or send her an e-mail telling ehr you have blocked her e-mail address and that if she wants to contact you she has to do it on msn or something.

Charge your friend 1 euro per letter she asks you to read.
