Hi fellow Civfanatics! I'm currently in no state to be writing this (as can be told by the title of this thread), but how well do you play when in a position that is far from optimal? I find that when I am in a state of mind affected by substances which affect your central nervous system (or CNS, for short) I tend to play like poop (sh*t is censored D I finished the Liberty tree and accidentally picked a Great Merchant. Seriously, a damn Great Merchant! Totally uncool!!! I popped it for a goddamn customs house which was even more stupid. I couldn't even beat a damn game on settler level when I play like this. Whatever happened to me breezing through Emperor and sometimes beating Immortal? D: Nopw I r sad. Merchant is NOT, I repeat, NOT better than a Great Engineer or Great Scientist. Nor is it better than kicking some major barbarian ASS with the Honor tree. Seriously, the Honor tree is messed up. Play Aztec with honor and punch the Barbarians in the nuts! You get more culture than Oliver Twist on Christmas day. Speaking of Christmas, imagine if you could build a christmas tree tile improvement. With sparkly lights and all that stuff. Could probably acty somethingf like the Moai warrior, discouraging nearby troops due to it's calming effect on the mind of the enemy soldier. Imagine surrounding a city with christmas trees. Talk about awesome defense. Wow, sorry, I got really off-topic. How well do you play when you are intoxicated? That is the question. No more, no less. With regards from a guy who should be asleep due to the consumtion of great amount of alcohol.
