Huts ? are they still in Conquest

I remeber the abanonded cities or huts ? where you could find units or reseach are they still in Conquest i haven't seen them yet, and can't find an option to turn them on or off ?

They are in some of the scenarios. I have encountered them in Rise of Rome, Mesopotamia, Mesoamerica, and Sengoku.

If you turn the barbarian setting to the lowest setting they disappear.
