I appreciate that this site has been around pretty much my entire Civ life-span

Just wanted to say I appreciate all of you.

My earliest memories are of dipping my toes in Civ 4 in... I dunno, elementary school? but I really started to get into Civ with Civ 5, and I remember being very happy to discover a community of folks to share in the hype of Civ 6 with early in its release. I then got distracted with life and other games, graduated highschool, college, etc, and I was happy to see on Civ 7s launch that not only were these forums still here, but actively thriving.

Thank you all for being an awesome community and for hanging on to this community as long as you have.

The site was already there when I started being a student. Back then there wasn't even a forum (or was very limited) - and the latest civ version iirc was CivII fantastic worlds.
Arguably back then it was #2 - particularly after the merger of Absolute Civilization and The First Greek Civilization Site to form Apolyton.

It's a remarkable achievement really, to have had an active forum through the release of 5 Civ games over 25ish years.
