I Can't play scenarios!

I can't play scenarios, that I've downloaded from this site! I think I have CivII classic, although I'm not sure.. The scenarios are for the classic game, but when I try to run them, I get a message saying, that this scenario isn't a saved game. Please help me !

Well, Civ2 classic is 2.42.
Scenarios that are designed for this will run.
Even though you think otherwise, the scenarios that don't run are probably for 2.78 or above.
I'd advise you to get the FW patch at the least, as this will DEFINITELY solve all your difficulties in this respect.
