Lack of awareness takes it out of the hands of the powerful to knowingly act on behalf of any, but their own ego. If they were aware, they would probably take a different job.

But any force applying its pressure on this world can achieve results inspite of an individual ego or can perhaps even use the ego formation to serve its purpose. Itsnt only awarness which counts in case of world-forces manifesting or even spiritual capacity such as love. Power is a manifestation of universal forces too and for specific purpose powerful people can have its use more than army of weak good-hearted men.
