I made my first army and put together some units in it- I could not place artillery in the army- is that how it's supposed to be?

Also I can't figure out how to kick a unit out of the army and replace him- is that not possible? I tried it IN a city and outside of a city... I don't get it...

Well at least I got a ruler!

You're only allowd ground units in an army,

No artillery pieces allowed.:goodjob:

when you use the Leader to make an army, the Leader will disappear. I guess because you don´t have the Leader anymore, you can´t change the army anymore.

should be different though.

I think the idea is that once you make an army, it exists forever, and you can't remove units from it. I think the idea is that once you form the "101st airborne", with three paratroopers, that unit exists, and can't be turned into a tank platoon. If you want a tank platoon, build another leader at your military academy, and form it.

I wish the manual had been specific about that. But anyway, now that we know, I think it makes the whole use of armies that much more strategic.

If you lose one of the ground units you had created the army with, does that perpetually reduce the size of the army.

What about the wonder/tech that increases the size of armies? Does that only apply to armies created afterwards?

Can you upgrade units that are within an army?

Once units are in an army, they're part of the army forever. (No honourable discharge option! LOL!)

You can't lose just one unit in the army. It's all for one and one for all. They pool their hit points, and they average their attack and defend stats. They can have more than 1 movement point, if all units in the army have more than 1 movement point. Otherwise, two tanks and an infantry move at 1.

What I want to know is how can you upgrade units in an army if they can't be unloaded?! I hope there's some patch tweaks in the future for this issue.

Based on my last game I was able to add to the existing army after the wonder (Pentagon? can't remember which).
