I had an idea for a new RFC.

I created this account 10 minutes ago so I could share my idea, and here it is: Rhye's and Fall of Prehistory.

Starting at 300MYA (million years ago) going to 3000BC.

The Civilizations:

Early Dinosaurs:

300MYA starting.

UU: Early Dinosaur. 10 Strength, 2 speed. No special abilities. UU is only unit.

UB: Sleeping Grounds. A walking city, like a Camp, but spawns only the UU.

UHV:

1: Have X units by X MYA.
2: Destroy X units (Maybe by X MYA)
3: I don't know.

Middle Dinosaurs:

200 MYA starting.

UU: Middle Dinosaur. 15 Strength, 1 speed. No special abilities. UU is only unit.

UB: Same as Early Dinosaurs.

UHV:

1: Pretty much like Early Dinosaurs.
2: Pretty much like Early Dinosaurs.
3: I don't know.

Late Dinosaurs:

125 MYA starting.

UU: Late Dinosaur. 15 Strength, 1 speed. 10% bonus versus Middle and Early Dinosaurs.

UB: Same as Early and Middle Dinosaurs.

UHV:

1: I don't know - they might start too late for the Early and Middle Dinosaurs' goals.
2: I don't know.
3: I don't know.

Early Mammals:

120 MYA starting.

UU: Early Mammal. 5 Strength, 3 speed. 10% bonus versus unupgraded units, if that's even possible.

UB: Den. Like a Camp, but can fight and spawn other camps.

UHV:

1: Don't lose a unit to Dinosaurs after 65 MYA.
2: Kill X Dinosaurs before 65 MYA.
3: Destroy 1 Dinosaur camp. (If dinosaurs go extinct, well, bad luck for these guys.)

Middle Mammals:

80 MYA starting.

UU: Middle Mammal. 10 Strength, 2 speed. -10% bonus versus Mammals, +10% bonus versus dinosaurs.

UB: Den. Like a Camp, but can fight and spawn other camps.

UHV:

1: Make sure Dinosaurs are extinct by X MYA.
2: Kill X Dinosaurs before X MYA.
3: Have X Battle Experience by X MYA.

Late Large Mammals:

X MYA starting.

UU: Late Large Mammal. 20 Strength, 1 speed. Not sure if it will have special benefits.

UB: Sleeping Site. Like a camp, but can fight and spawn other camps.

UHV:

1: Have X units by X MYA.
2: I don't know.
3: I don't know.

Late Small Mammals:

UU: Late Small Mammal. 10 Strength, 3 speed.

UB: Burrow. Like a camp, but can has 4 movement. Can not fight. Can spawn other camps.

UHV: Not sure for any of the 3.

Further Civilizations:

I am not sure what other ones there could be.





About the Map:

Starts out at the historical 600 MYA map. Over time, the map moves - ocean becomes, coast becomes plains, plains become coast, coast becomes ocean, until we reach the modern world.

If I could, I would build this with your suggestions, but I am terrible at modding - I do not understand python, barely understand XML, and, well, yeah.

So if someone, or a group, could help create this, I would appreciate it.
 
There was something like this in Civ 2 where you started with bacteria and such and 'teched' via evolution. Was pretty cool.
 
Too bad it emphasizes misinterpretations of evolution...
 
I'd be more interested in RFC 5000. Sumerians would be the only selectable civ at the beginning.
 
No offense or anything... but this seems like a really bad idea. It's about civilizations, and dinosaurs were most certainly not a civilization. Also, it would be insanely difficult to code for that "moving city" you have (or so i'm told). If you want something about early human history, play the Stone Age mod (although you can't play that mod with BTS 3.19).
