I hereby declare cold weather illegal

Just like the Kellog-Briand pact declared war illegal, I now put forth the anti-cold weather treaty.

This treaty deems that all weather below the temperature of 55 degrees shall be declared illegal south and north of the polar ice cap regions and that all weather shall be like that or Hawaii outside of those regions.

Now I need world leaders to sign this treaty to make it effective, but since I couldn't get those people, I figured some prominent civfanatics would do just as well, so please sign this pact and help me ban cold weather.

Well, I think it could do with some rewording. If you want it to be a binding legal document, then you better tighten up on it.

For example, I would think its not an issue as it stands - I don't think it ever gets as cold as 55 K anywhere !

Okay, wait . . . so if the weather gets too cold, who exactly gets punished for it? I'm surrounded by cold weather most of the time, but that doesn't mean I'm in favor of it. It's not my fault it's so cold around here.

why would you want to limit temperature - cold weather is great sometimes
just look at Svalbard and Greenland, there are people living there happily. And what about the eco systems that depend on those climatic variations?

Have you ever seen diamond dust? It is something like mist or fog but when it is -30F. Single crystal flakes of ice floating around everywhere. You see them mostly as streaks of light in the dark. Surreally beautiful, I would hate to give that up.

Um, can't we just start with sanctions? A nuclear attack would create a lot of fallout around here.
