I need a new graphics card

I installed the new card with success, and the game works, as phoenix_night said, like a dream!

Is there any way for me to get a video card capable of playing the game atleast reliably without shelling out over a hundred dollars (the game recomends Geforce 3 or higher, ATi Radeon 8500, 9000, 9500, 9600, 9700, or 9800)? Thanks in advance.

The card I bought 5 hours ago costed $170. Is that over your price range?

I recently purchased Rome: Total War and have had this problem too (I have a Nvidia Geforce 2 while the game calls for a Geforce 3 or higher). The game works fine most of the time, but a few things make it crash on me (such as clicking on the senate tab or an announcement saying a faction was destroyed).

Dont go ATI, go Nvidia: XFX nVIDIA GeForce 6600GT Video Card, 128MB GDDR3, 128-Bit, Dual DVI, AGP X8 for AGP and XFX nVIDIA GeForce 6600GT Video Card, 128MB GDDR3, 128-Bit, Dual DVI, PCI-Express for PCI-e.
6600GT owns the competition at its price range, and even the more expensive ATi 9800 Pro is not as good as it for less.
