I have a post WWII military scenario in mind, that won't likely be started for some time yet.
That being said, I have some ideas I want to start noodling out, call it prework.
I definitely want to steal/incorporate Dale's excellent work.
But I am looking at some other concepts, and I want to know if anybody has built mods or is building mods that incorporate these ideas as well.
1. Resources as quantifiable, and multiple resources combine into another.
(I know that The Lopez' Resource Converter 2.0 is definitely something I need to take a hard look at)
2. Specific units use quantifiable resources other than food and gold for support.
eg. Oil for mechanized units.
(This is a natural extension of The Lopez' work)
3. Seasonal changes in the weather, where some sea paths, land ices over, affecting movement, attrition rates, combat capabilities, etc.
4. Naval activity more realistic, where subs have the a percentage chance of being seen, rather than "yes" or "no" as was in Civ III.
I surf the mod section on a regular basis, but I have not seen much on items 3 or 4.
Does anybody know if work is being done on such concepts.
I would much prefer incorporating someone's existing mod as opposed to me struggling through with my limited coding skills to create such things.
And does anybody know if Dale's Combat mod 1.01 is compatible with The Lopez' Resource Converter 2.0?
