I've recently started to play civ bts after a few months of down time and I feel like I'm way better than I used to be.
Anyway, I've been trying to integrate a specialist economy into my game and it has been met with great results.
I've been playing recently with...
Pericles (Cre/Phi)
Map: Continents
Size: Standard
Difficulty: Noble
no tribal villages, no barbarians
6 AI
Anyway, any ideas on strategy? If not, please help with the one I'm currently experimenting with.
I open up researching:
Agriculture
Mining
Bronze Working
Masonry
Wheel
Resource Specific (Animal Husbandry, usually)
I open my first city:
Worker, Settler, Pyramids (chopped)
Any recommendations?
Against the AI, I usually can get away with researching Mysticism, Polytheism, Priesthood and rushing Oracle in my second city...though I know in a multilayer game or at higher difficulties this would not work.
After that, I usually research Writing, Alphabet, (Oracle gets me CoL or Literature) and I build the Great Library with a great engineer.
So yeah, any help would be appreciated.
