HEY Every one out their I need new music.
I enjoy:
MODEST MOUSE
DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL
SOVIETTES
FALL OUT BOY
BECK
DISPATCH
THE INFLUENTS
STARTING LINE

based off the stuff you say you like, I think you'd probably enjoy three-six mafia. They are a great underground band, their best song is "slob on my knob"

No idea if you will like them, but check out Dio, Dream Evil, Avenged Sevenfold, ad Immortal.

You said you wanted new music didn't you? :).

Forget that stuff and listen to some real music, along the lines of...

Rush
Yes
Porcupine Tree
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest

If you like that stuff, I'll recommend an ever wider diet of good music.

It would nice to have a descripition or a link or something. Please and Thanks for all the input

http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_BAND.asp?band_id=609 - Has some Rush songs, I only have Moving Pictures and 2112. Those are two great albums though.

http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_BAND.asp?band_id=105 - I obly have heard the songs from Heart of Sunrise and below on their list of songs available. Still good stuff.

http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_BAND.asp?band_id=290 - I have all their albums, and theres a song from each album on this site. I don't really like Waiting(phase one), but other songs on that album are good.

http://www.ironmaiden.com/ - They have samples of all their songs under 'albums" Just to let you know I have The Number of the Beast, Powerslave, Somewhere in Time, 7th Son of a 7th Son, and Dance of Death. I think Nubmer of the Beast is the best album. Some songs you could sample would be(one from each album) - Invaders, Back in the Village, Alexander the Great, 7th son of a 7th son, No More Lies.

http://catalog2.allofmp3.com/mp3/Judas_Priest/group_5010/albref_26/mcatalog.shtml - Its got some poor/okay quality samples of Judas Priest songs. I have Sad Wings Of Destiny, Sained Class, British Steel, and Painkiller. Some good songs for you to try would be (one from each album) Tyrant, Stained Class, Breaking the Law, All Guns Blazing.

If you like any of my suggestions, check out other samples or download(legally of course >_>) the albums. Even if you don't like my suggestions, some songs may appeal to you better, so check those out.

I second "Porcupine Tree" as it is quite simply brilliant - well at least the album "In Absentia" is. Other than that for a quick, lets get me another post post I'd recommend anything done by Eels, Chroma Key or Dream Theater.

Try this band -

Placebo - alt-rock, with a healthy dose of glamness and angst, try the songs 'Nancy Boy', 'Pure Morning', 'Every You, Every Me' 'Taste In Men' and 'The Bitter End'.

and this one -

Smashing Pumpkins - alt-rock, bit grungey in some places, bit gothy in others, try the songs 'One', 'Cherub Rock', 'Zero', '1979', 'Bullet with butterfly wings' and 'Ava adore'.

Actualy that is one that I forgot to put on the list.

1979 is my favorite song of theirs

It is good to see so many Arcade Fire fans here. They have both good music and good videos.

Electric Six has some pretty weird stuff too.

Nah, sippin on some sizzurp is the best

Thanx Panda

Actually I downloaded Plans by Death Cab for Cutie a couple weeks ago and never listened to it.

Preaty good stuff though I think I might have found what I needed

The Garden State Soundtrack is full of good music and/or bands aswell.
Second that, Zach Braff has good taste. Colin Hay, The Shins and Zero7 are among that music.

Depending on where you're from, you might or might not have heard of Jack Johnson. He's doing good singer song writer music, and also Elliot Smith, although I haven't really got into him myself.

Just a few other random good bands/artists are Green Day, Cat Power, Ed Harcourt, Kathryn Williams, Killers, The Knife (a bit weird though), Morrisey, Powderfinger, Ben Harper...
