I need to redo my partitions.

Data partition's 30 GB away from full.

Current configuration:

Note on the Data partition I have a 25-gigabyte folder (no, it's not porn) that I'm going to transfer to a USB stick. But still it doesn't leave a lot of room.

How would you reconfigure these partitions?

I don't use partitions, they're a waste of time for file organization purposes.

I wouldn't reconfigure those. Your C drive is already using almost 2/3 of the space. You don't want to make it too tight, because you've obviously out a lot more than Windows on it already. You'll just have to get another or bigger drive or start burning files to disk and leaving them off the HDD.

I do want to get a secondary 500 GB (or maybe a terabyte depending on the price) sometime.

Unless prices deviate drastically in Canada 500GB Drives are pretty bad value right now, go for the 1TB model.

Found locally (mom has a strange fear of mail-order hardware) a 1 TB relatively cheap, model with good reviews. Just have to wait for some money.

What I think Ill do is when I get it up and running Ill turn the original drive (the 500GB) into the System Drive. And the 1TB will probably be divided into two partitions, Data and Petty.
