I think we need a sub folder and reorganization for the civ 5 requests

Yeah, basically I think that these threads are cluttering this section where they would be more suited to have their own place to be in.

I also note that it's extremely hard to make any sense of what's being said into a precise idea. The reasoning is that right now it's just so disorganized that things that are different from each other are jumbled together making it too mish mushy to do any work with.

Does anyone agree with what I am saying? Do you have any ideas how to organize these requests into a more coherent entity?

It would seem a good idea to me to put the Civ 5-specific notions in a different forum that is not under the Civ IV hierarchy, but I've seen it mentioned that it's not policy here to set up a space for a given game until the game is actually announced, so I don't know where that leaves us.

I posted a Thread/Poll recommending a new SubForum (a week or 2 ago), and for each Idea to have its own thread, with recommended [GUI], [Gameplay] etc in the Thread title. It got one response and then got buried.

Though I still would like to see a new SubForum, and for each idea to have its own thread.
Instead of the 3 or 4 generic threads of "Ideas for Civ V" and what would you have wanted different in CIV IV - which sprawl all over the place incoherently.

If Firaxis actually takes ideas into consideration, having individual threads would be easier for them to peruse than the mess things are now.

I agree, but CF obviously doesnt care much for this pre-release forum thing - it was the same thing for civ4. Its too bad though, as this is a major aspect of this forum - to me anyway. When the game is released I dont get around here much.

I'm sure that Firaxis knows where the folders on CivFanatics are (they did when I beta tested for them in the past).

I see. In fact, I think that these 3 or 4 generic Civ5 threads are nonsense, if they are made by Firaxis designers to know what users want to change, but not that bad if you are making a research on what users wanted most.
