Hi all
I wish that the border colors were determined by the chosen civ instead of the leader, even if that means that they change 2 times each game. Don't get me wrong, I fully understand why the leaders determine the border color. It makes it easily distinguishable who is who, and an AI opponent changing colors mid-game could be confusing.
The thing is though: the border color associations are so hard-wired in my brain that when I see purple and yellow borders, that's always gonna be the Romans for me, no matter the city names, architecture, unique units roaming around or even the leader. Same for Greece being white and light blue and Spain being either the pink color scheme from civ V or red and yellow from civ VI. I'm sure I'm in the minority here but Romans led by Amina with green borders just doesn't compute for me, while Romans being led by Amina with purple and yellow borders, I would be totally fine with. It's really messing with my immersion, and I wonder if there are others who have this same gnawing feeling about the border colors.
(This is the same reason why I absolutely hated the jersey system from civ VI by the way)
Thanks for listening to my rant!
And +100 points to the first modder who manages to implement this, if it's even possible
